Lionel Messi biography
Lionel Andrés Messi (aka Leo, Lio, La Pulga, La Pulga Atómica, El Mesías) was born on June 24, 1987 in the Argentine city of Rosario. He grew up with three brothers in a working class neighborhood called General Las Heras. At 5 years of age, he started playing at Grandoli, a small neighborhood club where his family was very involved. When he turned 8, Leo was already playing for the lower categories of Newell's Old Boys, an important professional club in Rosario.
At age 13, Lionel Messi signed with FC Barcelona and moved with his family to Spain, as the Catalan club agreed to take charge of hormone treatments as part of the contract.
His stature is low but his constitution is strong, athletic and flexible. His hair is short, straight and dark, his eyes are small, bright and brown. His complexion is clear and rosy. It has a thick, long nose, its small mouth with thin lips, white and even teeth. He has little beard and looks much younger. His movements on the pitch are agile, safe and fast.

With a physical power superior to the average, Messi is a player of others. This is a very creative footballer, with an impressive technique that eliminates any opponent with ease. Being left-handed, Messi can play both in center field and in both side positions. Lionel Messi has an impressive power. Messi is also a specialist in set-pieces (free kick, penalty kicks, corner) which makes it a very complete work.
Records
Lionel is the player with the most consecutive games scoring at least one goal in the Spanish League. In the 2012-2013 season, the best in the world scored a total of 34 goals in 21 consecutive games.
So far, no other player in the history of football has managed to win, in the same season, the Golden Ball awards, FIFA World Player, Pichichi Trophy of the Spanish League and Golden Boot.
Lionel raised all of them in the 2011-2012 season.
